Wow a return!

Sorry I disappeared for so long. I probably spent too much time posting on ravelry.com

I've gotten much more interested in spinning than I was when I last posted. I have worked with amazing teachers to learn flax and cotton spinning, yarn ideal for socks and textured yarns.

My Lendrum Very Fast Flyer has become my best friend but I also love my Bosworth Moosie Spindle and other spindles.

This is the yarn I am most proud of

It is over 600 yards of 2 ply yarn from one ounce of fiber, a merino/silk blend.

That yarn and some others I've done has made my newest goal the Bothwell Longest Thread contest. You spin and ply 10 grams of wool and it is measured in Tasmania. My goal for the first time I enter is 1000 yards, the world record is 1400!

Bosworth spindles! Love! Left to right: Moosie with Walnut shaft, Sumac with Walnut shaft, and Dogwood with Cherry shaft.

This is the Lendrum Very Fast Flyer with some silk on it, I need to finish that yarn up.

Any questions? Anything you want to talk about?
